Our history
RED was first launched in 2002, as a specialist recruitment consultancy for the Leisure and Spa industry. The vision for RED was to offer a professional recruitment service designed to accurately match the right candidate with the right job opportunity. To do this, we launched a string of ‘firsts’ to fast track recruitment into the 21st century. The world of Spa, Beauty and Leisure was about to explode, but where was the recruitment service the industry cried out for at a time of rapid change and expansion? And not only that, but the service for applicants, too?
Having worked in the industry as a multi-site manager, Veronica had first- hand experience of recruiting teams of staff and identified an industry gap for a quality recruitment service where candidates were thoroughly screened in person. Taking the time to visit clients and fully understand their recruitment brief; company culture and person specification before setting out to find a RED HOT candidate. Then, meeting candidates in person to truly assess their suitability before recommending them to a client. It sounds basic, but it was unique and highly effective and contributed to making RED the company it is today.
Our name stands for RECRUITMENT, EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT, and this three-pronged approach soon created waves. Here was the guarantee of one-to-one in depth interviewing, the opportunity of further training to hone candidate skills, individual coaching and support, proper follow-up for both clients and candidates – in short, the thorough professionalism recruiters and recruits so often lacked. And it got noticed – fast.
